STUDY GROUPS

Five weeks of materials have been put together for those who wish to take time to study Deus Caritas Est and the Sacred Scriptures.

Week 1 - Healing Love

Week 2 - The Love Command

Week 3 - All-giving Love

Week 4 - Love Enlightens

Week 5 - Prevailing Love

Dear Pastors, Parish Administrators, Facilitators, Leaders of Organizations, Study and Reflection Groups:

It has come to our attention that many parishes have faith sharing or study groups in place in their parish communities. Furthermore, we have discovered that people have a deep desire to share their faith with one another either in a climate of faith sharing or in a study group milieu.

Using the Encyclical Letter Deus Caritas Est given on December 25th, 2005 by our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, and passages from Sacred Scriptures, materials for five sessions have been put together for your use.

There are two formats being offered: one for those who prefer Faith Sharing and another for those who prefer working within a Study group. The reading material is the same, but the questions for reflection are quite different.

Although you may use these materials at any time, it is suggested that you begin the week of October 22nd - this way you will be prepared for the following Sunday Liturgy. The Gospel passages are from the Sunday Readings from October 29th to the Feast of Christ the King. This reflection time will bring our liturgical year to a close. Advent begins the Sunday following the Feast of Christ the King.

May God continue to bless your endeavours to learn more about Church teachings and Sacred Scriptures.

Linda R. J. Labelle, Diocesan Coordinator of Faith Development and Evangelisation.

Hi Linda: Would you write me back and let me know which parishes are offering this here in the Sault? Thanks
Marilyn Risch
Or can I get the materials and have it at Mother of God?
