Bishop Plouffe announces new appointments for clergy in the diocese

His Excellency, the Most Reverend Jean-Louis Plouffe announces the following appointments for priests in the diocese:

Effective Monday, January 14, 2008

Reverend John Duggan, SJ, until now pastor of Blessed Kateri, Mississauga First Nation; Saint Raphael, Sagamok; and Our Lady of the Highway, Cutler is granted a leave of absence.

Jesuit priests currently serving in various locations throughout the North Shore/Manitoulin area of the diocese will share presbyteral ministry at Saint Raphael, Sagamok and Our Lady of the Highway, Cutler.

Reverend Ilija Puljic, OFM, untl now pastor of Holy Trinity, Sudbury and Sveti Marko, Sudbury is granted a leave of absence.

Reverend James Ketzler, currently pastor of Saint James the Greater, Blind River; Ste-Famille, Blind River; and Saint Ambrose, Thessalon is appointed pastor (ad normam, C. 519) of Blessed Kateri, Mississauga First Nation while remaining pastor of Saint James the Greater, Blind River and Saint Ambrose, Thessalon.

Reverend Lawrence Maduewesi, currently pastor of Saint Monica, Wawa is appointed pastor (ad normam, C. 540, para. 1 & 2) of Ste-Cécile, Dubreuilville while remaining pastor of Saint Monica, Wawa.

Reverend Kevin Ezeokeke, currently pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes, Manitouwadge and Saint Francis Regis, Mobert First Nation is appointed pastor (ad normam, C. 540, para. 1 & 2) of Saint Basil, White River while remaining pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes, Manitouwadge and Saint Francis Regis, Mobert.

Reverend Constantin Kazadi, currently pastor of Ste-Marie, Elliot Lake and St-Sébastien, Spanish will provide presbyteral ministry at Ste-Famille, Blind River while remaining pastor of Ste-Marie, Elliot Lake and St-Sébastien, Spanish.

Reverend Edward Wawrzyk, currently listed among the retired clergy of the diocese will provide presbyteral ministry at Holy Trinity, Sudbury and Sveti Marko, Sudbury until April 1, 2008.

Reverend Bronislaw Puchala, until now pastor of Ste-Cécile, Dubreuilville and Saint Basil, White River has been granted a leave of absence.
